The Audubon Network for Sustainability

audubon network for sustainability isc logo - middleThere are thousands of Audubon related societies, organizations, sanctuaries, centers, and businesses around the globe.  These organizations and businesses are independent from one another, and separately incorporated. Each is free to set their own path within the Audubon Movement. The Audubon Network for Sustainability is a web based directory of these local, national or international Audubon societies, organizations, sanctuaries, centers, and businesses. It also includes businesses, individuals, and others who have received accreditation by participating in an environmental or sustainability themed education program - many of which may be administered by another Audubon organization.   To read and learn more about the specific entries listed in the Audubon Netowrk for Sustainability click here

GreenEdge® fertilizer is produced by GreenTechnologies, LLC.

We create environmentally sound lawn and landscape solutions for personal, commercial and public interests. We develop products from renewable resources, for advancement of nutrient recycling and improving environmental quality.

About Our Founder
Green Technologies was founded by Dr. Amir Varshovi. While earning his Ph.D. in Soil and Water Science from the University of Florida, Dr. Varshovi worked with commercial fertilizers that were sent to the university for verification and authentication.  He studied their components, their effects on healthy plant growth and their effects on the environment.

He investigated the environmental impact of fertilizer components, as well as their origins. Dr. Varshovi discovered that many of these components are produced outside the United States and realized the need for environmentally friendly fertilizer that utilizes renewable resources available locally.

Dr. Varshovi began developing processes of nutrient recycling, finding sustainable alternative sources for the nutrients plants need. And one of the most available sources of those nutrients is biosolids.

Combining his knowledge of soil and water, chemistry, plant growth and development with his experience in the fertilizer industry, Dr. Varshovi began developing a process to turn this abundant resource into an effective, slow release organic fertilizer.

A Coalition for Good - Spreading the Seeds of Sustainability

ISC-Audubon is a coalition of non-profit organizations and initiatives that include The International Sustainability Council (ISC), Audubon Lifestyles, Audubon Outdoors, Planit Green, Broadcast Audubon, and the Audubon Network for Sustainability.

Funds generated through memberships and donations are used to provide fruit & vegetable seeds, wildflower seed mix, and wildlife feed & birdseed to urban and suburban communities around the world. These seeds are used by communities to establish fruit and vegetable gardens, bird and wildlife sanctuaries, and for the beautification of urban and suburban landscapes by creating flower and native plant gardens.
